Meet the Doc!

Dr. Tim Fargo is a 1979 graduate of the University of Minnesota where he studied political science and criminal law with the intention of becoming an attorney.  Coincident with graduation he had some personal life experiences that awakened a desire to help people achieve better health through chiropractic care.  Shortly thereafter he started at Northwestern College of Chiropractic (now Northwestern Health Sciences University) and graduated with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1982. Since that time, he has built 5 clinics, had over 25 associates doctors working under him and has trained over 120 chiropractic interns. In the course of his career, in addition to working on people of all ages and from all walks of life, he has had the privilege of having worked with literally hundreds of elite and professional athletes, including 15 years spent as the chiropractor for the Minnesota Vikings.  Infused in all that he does professionally is a passion for changing the lives of the people he touches.

Dr. Fargo is a lifelong student and, as a consequence, he has learned and developed a special way of caring for people which includes several powerful chiropractic systems of analysis and treatment including, most recently, Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP).  The CBP approach blends physical postural and x-ray analysis to discover the source of structural issues in the spine, and then allows the doctor and patient to partner in creating solutions to these distortions. His interest and facility in caring for patients with scoliosis, hyperkyphosis (hunched posture) and other structural imbalances of the spine derives from his study of CBP.  He is currently one of the only doctors in the State of Minnesota with advanced certification in that discipline.  This achievement brought with it familiarity with the work of Dr. Jeb McAviney, the founder of ScoliCare™ in Sydney, Australia, and the inventor of a unique scoliosis brace product called “ScoliBrace™”. The combination of the methodologies of CBP and, when needed, the application of this ground-breaking, custom-fitted spinal brace has provided Dr. Fargo with a predictable, conservative and effective way of dealing with scoliosis.  The results that he has seen with this approach prompted him to launch ScoliTech™, a company devoted exclusively to providing conservative solutions to scoliosis.  Dr. Fargo is currently one of the only doctors in Minnesota who is certified to deliver this state-of-the-art brace product.

In addition to his work with patients, Dr. Fargo has, for years, provided wellness education to the community.  Through an organization he founded, The Wellness Resource Group, he brings wellness education and related services to church, community and business groups throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area.

Dr. Fargo is an avid downhill skier, golfer and fitness enthusiast.  He prides himself on living what he preaches to his patients and is continually striving to become fitter, healthier, and more skilled at his craft.  He is married to Nancy, who has worked with him as the office manager for over 30 years.  He has two children, Kailey, who he is proud to have as one of his associate doctors in the practice, and, Ryan, who is just completing law school.  He has often said that he feels very blessed to be able to do a job that he so thoroughly enjoys and which he would do for fun, even if he wasn’t being paid to do it.
